Item Improving the Efficiency of Multi-Group Trains Formation(Kaunas University of Technology; Publishing House "Technologija", 2019) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Bobrovskyi, Volodymyr I.; Skovron, Ihor Ya.; Jablonskyte, J.ENG: The formation of multi-group trains is one of the typical tasks solved in the process of operational work of railways. The purpose of this study is to reduce the time spent on shunting operations associated with the formation of multi-group trains. The studies are performed using the method of simulation modeling. The method of searching for a rational order of multi-group train formation was improved. It is based on the statistical evaluation of the variety of simulation modeling results of shunting movements, the sequence of which is determined using the various methods and formation schemes. The choice of the best method and the scheme of train formation makes it possible to reduce the duration of shunting by 7.1-23.3% when using a flat shunting neck and by 8-11% when using a sorting hump. The methods presented in this paper make it possible to develop software products for the automated preparation of shunting plans for the formation of multi-group trains at the stations.Item Influence Research of Traffic Prediction Accuracy on Effective Management of the Trains Breaking-Up Order(Silesian University of Tecnology, Katowice, Poland, 2016) Bardas, Oleksandr O.; Skovron, Ihor Ya.; Demchenko, Yevhen B.; Dorosh, Andrii S.ENG: The article presents the research results of management processes in order of trains breaking-up on marshalling yards. The objective of this article is determination the area of rational use of trains breaking-up order models. Model of trains breaking-up order selection is formalized in the form of stochastic programming task. With the help of simulation modeling was obtained the dependence, describing the impact of trains arrival forecasting error and sizes of car traffic processing on reducing operating costs of the marshalling yards through the management of trains breaking-up order. The investigations can establish the requirements for accuracy of information support of operational planning tasks necessary for achieving the desired economic effect of the management of trains breaking-up order.Item Mathematical Modelling of the Communication Channel between the Rail Circuit and the Inputs Devices of Automatic Locomotive Signalization(Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan, 2019) Hololobova, Oksana O.; Buriak, Serhii Yu.; Havryliuk, Volodymyr I.; Skovron, Ihor Ya.; Nazarov, Oleksii A.ENG: Abstract. In modern practice of operating under traffic safety conditions, the traffic light signal must be transmitted to the locomotive that moves to it, and duplicate in the driver's cab. However, this communication channel is not protected from external interference. In order to prevent the occurrence of code failure, it is necessary to create conditions under which the automatic locomotive signalling system will distinguish between signals with useful information, from signals with false information. The best way to solve this problem at the first stage is to model the devices. Using the simulation tools of graphical environment of simulation modelling Simulink from Matlab software environment, the software model of the communication channel between the railroad and the input devices of automatic locomotive signalling system was constructed. The created mathematical model with the actual parameters allows us to obtain diagnostic signs of a proper condition, on the basis of which the research is aimed at the identification, recognition and definition of various types of malfunctions, failure, damages and defects in the work of the constituent elements of the system and the signal transmission channel of the automatic locomotive signalling system.Item An Optimization Method of the Multi-Group Train Formation at Flat Yards(Taylor & Francis Ltd., UK, 2021) Kozachenko, Dmytro M.; Bobrovsky, Volodymyr I.; Gera, Bogdan V.; Skovron, Ihor Ya.; Gorbova, Aleksandra V.ENG: Formation of multi-group trains is aimed at arranging their cars in a given order and is one of the mass operations performed at railway. In this regard, the reduction of the duration of shunting operations for the formation of multi-group trains is an urgent task for railway transport. In this paper, for a discrete deterministic-controlled system that simulates the operation of the flat yard, a mathematical statement of the problem of choosing the optimal order of multi-group train formation is obtained. The set of possible states of the system under study and the transitions between them are presented in the form of directed graph, which made it possible to reduce the problem of choosing the order of train formation to the problem of searching the shortest paths on the graph. An algorithm of searching the optimal order of train formation is proposed.Item Research of Traffic Prediction Accuracy Influence on the Effectiveness of Trains Breaking-Up Order Control(Silesian University of Technology, Poland, 2017) Bardas, Oleksandr O.; Skovron, Ihor Ya.; Demchenko, Yevhen B.; Dorosh, Andrii S.; Buriak, Serhii Yu.ENG: The article presents the research results of economic feasibility of trains’ breaking-up order control at marshalling yards. The article objective was to determine the area of rational use of trains’ breaking-up order model, formalized in the form of stochastic programming problem. As a effectiveness criterion of trains’ breaking-up order operating costs of marshalling yard were used, including the costs associated with cars’ and locomotives’ dwell time on the station and its approaches, as well as costs associated with additional shunting work. With the help of simulation modeling the dependence was obtained, describing the impact of trains’ arrival forecasting error and processed car volumes on reducing operating costs of the marshalling yards through the trains’ breaking-up order control. The studies enable us to establish the requirements for the accuracy of information support of operational planning tasks, which is necessary to achieve the desired economic effect of the trains’ breaking-up order control.
