Проблеми перекладу українською мовою засобів створення експресивності англомовних текстів художнього стилю (на матеріалі роману С. Моема «Лицедії»)

Abstract

UK: У дисертації досліджуються проблеми використання стилістичних прийомів в художньому дискурсі та визначення механізму і специфіки перекладу таких стилістичних засобів з англійської мови на українську. Метою дослідження є аналіз одиниць різних рівнів мови, які використовуються для передачі категоріального значення експресивності в смисловому й художньому полі роману С. Моема «Лицедії» [59] та засобів їх перекладу українською мовою М. Пінчевським. Об’єктом дослідження є функціонування категорії експресивності та засоби її мовної реалізації в тексті роману С. Моема «Лицедії» та в тексті його перекладу українською мовою, який було виконано М. Пінчевським. Предметом дослідження є особливості перекладу одиниць різних рівнів мови, які використовуються для передачі категоріального значення експресивності в тексті роману С. Моема «Лицедії» та засоби їх перекладу українською мовою М. Пінчевським. Методи дослідження – метод компаративно-критичного й міждисциплінарного аналізу, загальновизнані методології лінгвістичного, літературознавчого й історико-культурального характеру.

EN: The dissertation explores the problems of using stylistic devices in belles-lettres style discourse and determining the mechanism and peculiarities of the translation of such stylistic means from English into Ukrainian. The purpose of the study is the analysis of the units of different levels of the language system which are used to convey the categorial meaning of expressiveness in the semantic and artistic field of S. Moem’s novel “Theatre” and the means of their translation into Ukrainian by M. Pinchevsky. The study object is the functioning of the category of expressiveness and the means of its linguistic realization in the text of S. Moem’s novel “Theatre” and in the text of its translation into Ukrainian, which was performed by M. Pinchevsky. The subject of the master’s degree research is the peculiarities of the translation of the units of different levels of the language system, which are used to convey the categorial meaning of expressiveness in the text of S. Moem’s novel “Theatre” and the means of their translation into Ukrainian by M. Pinchevsky. Research methods – the method of comparative-critical and interdisciplinary analysis and generally accepted methodologies of linguistic, literary and historical-cultural nature.
