Abstract
UK: Мета – дослідити особливості висвітлення образу жінки як авторки та жінки як персонажа у сучасному західному постмодерністському літературному дискурсі через призму феміністської критики.
Методи: у дослідженні були використані методи спостереження, аналізу, функціональний та описовий методи. Результати. Розглянуто образ жінки у сучасних західних творах у площині концептуалізації постмодерну з акцентом на протиріччях постмодернізму, який пропонує логіку плюральності. Проаналізовано художні твори Дж. Роулінг серії Поттеріани та романи Дж. Мартіна з циклу «Пісня льоду та полум’я» сучасності, які, на наш погляд, розкривають особливості постсучасної репрезентації образу жінки в сучасній літературі. Дослідження репрезентації жіночих образів творів спонукає до висновку, що постмодернізм є проблематичним у трактуванні своїх героїнь. Але актуальним є той факт, що класичні феміністські мотиви спротиву, трансгресії і критики культуральних структур все ж мають місце в літературі, хоча не в повній мірі. Доведено, що за допомогою концепції ґендеру людина здатна не лише осмислювати своє буття, а й здійснювати культурну трансформацію базових моделей чоловічого та жіночого.Висновки. Проблема репрезентації жінок в літературі та культурі постмодерну є особливо актуальною саме в руслі суб’єктивації жінок. На сьогоднішній день неможливо аналізувати літературу не зважаючи на «Іншого» цієї культури; в той же час, як і раніше, існує потужна апеляція до єдиної культурної свідомості, яку, нібито, і виявляє письменник, художник, режисер; останнє змушує говорити про провідну роль стереотипів у процесі суб’єктивації жіночого. В царині літературних та феміністських політик поняття «жінки» виявляється дуже суперечливим, тим не менш теоретики змушені оперувати прийнятним концептом «жінки», визнаючи, що розгляд образу жінки у сталих та постійних термінах є неприпустимим спрощенням. Жінка-суб’єкт піддає ревізії дискурси всередині неї та зовні, намагаючись визначити свою власну суб’єктивність і свій власний життєвий шлях.
EN: Purpose – to study the peculiarities of the representation of a woman as an author and as a character in the modern western postmodern literary discourse through the prism of the feminist criticism.Methods: the methods of observation, analysis, functional and descriptive methods have been used in the research. Results. It has been studied the image of a woman in the modern western novels in the sphere of postmodern concepts emphasizing the postmodern conflicts and proposing the plurality logic. The novels of the Harry Potter fantasy series written by J. K. Rowling and the novels of the series of epic fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire written by George R. R. Martin have been analyzed. These novels, in our opinion, show the peculiarities of the postmodern representation of a woman in the modern literature. The study of the representation of the female images of the given novels draws the conclusion that postmodernism is problematic when interpreting its female characters. Nevertheless, the fact is that the classical feminist reasons of resistance, transgression and criticism of the cultural structures are still present in literature even not to a full extent. It has been proved that with the help of the gender concept a human is able not only to comprehend their own being, but to provide the cultural transformation of the basic models of male and female. Conclusions. The problem of the representation of a woman in postmodern literature and culture is especially relevant in the sphere of the subjectivity of women. Nowadays it is impossible to analyze literature not paying attention to the “Other” of this culture; at the same time as before there is a strong appeal to the unique cultural consciousness presented by a writer, artist, and director. This fact has made us speak about the leading role of the stereotypes in the process of subjectivity of female images. In the field of the literary and feminist politics the notion of a woman appears to be very controversial, nevertheless the literary critics have to deal with the given concept of a woman, determining that examination of the image of a woman in invariable and persistent terms is intolerable. A woman as a subject examines her inner and outer discourses trying to determine her own subjectivity and her own life.
