Сучасні аспекти викладання англійської мови в технічних закладах вищої освіти (препринт)

Abstract

UK: У цій статті проаналізовано сучасні методи викладання іноземної мови й обґрунтовано доцільність їх використання в технічних закладах вищої освіти. Процес викладання англійської мови в немовних закладах вищої освіти має певні особливості, пов’язані з різним початковим рівнем мовної підготовки першокурсників; кількістю академічних годин, відведених на вивчення цієї дисципліни; кількісним складом груп; низькою мотивацією до опанування іноземної мови. Наголошено на тому, що в навчальному процесі важливу роль відіграє мотивація, формування якої в студентів технічних ЗВО має бути одним з основних завдань навчально-виховного процесу. Мотивація визначає продуктивність навчальної діяльності та є її органічною складовою. Доведено що якісна іншомовна підготовка студентів технічних спеціальностей можлива за умови впровадження сучасних освітніх технологій, таких як: професійноорієнтоване навчання, метод проєктів, технології інтенсивного й дистанційного навчання, інформаційні та телекомунікаційні технології, робота з навчальними та контролюючими комп’ютерними програмами з іноземних мов, ігрові технології, створення презентацій, тренінгові системи навчання. Встановлено, що значно підвищити результативність заняття можна за умови професійноорієнтованого наповнення змісту дисципліни «Іноземна мова» в технічних ЗВО. З’ясовано, що застосування інтерактивних технологій навчання передбачає звернення до комунікативного, зокрема когнітивно-комунікативного, та конструктивістського методів викладання іноземної мови. Доведено, що використання інноваційних підходів до викладання англійської мови та мультимедійних засобів навчання дозволяє студентам підвищити мотивацію до вивчення іноземних мов, забезпечити доступ до нових, альтернативних джерел інформації, розвинути самостійну розумову діяльність, сформувати комунікативні навички, міжкультурну й професійну компетентність.

EN: In this article modern methods of foreign language teaching are analysed and the feasibility of their use in technical institutions of higher education is substantiated. The process of teaching English in non-language institutions of higher education has certain peculiarities connected with different initial level of language training of first-course students; the number of academic hours determined for this discipline studying; numerical strength of groups; low motivation to foreign language mastering. It is emphasized that motivation plays an important role in the educational process, which formation by students of technical institutions of higher education should be one of the main tasks of the educational process. Motivation determines the productivity of educational activity and is its organic component. It is proved that high-quality foreign language training of technical specialties students is possible on condition of modern educational technologies introduction, such as: professionally-oriented training, method of projects, intensive and distance teaching technologies, information and telecommunication technologies, work with educational and controlling computer programs in foreign languages, game technologies, creation of presentations, training educational systems. It is established that it is possible considerably to increase classes’ effectiveness on condition of professionally-oriented content filling of «Foreign Language» discipline in technical institutions of higher education. It was found out that the use of interactive educational technologies involves recourse to the communicative, in particular,the cognitive-communicative and the constructivist methods of foreign language teaching. It is proved that using of innovative approaches to teaching English and multimedia teaching aids allows students to increase motivation to foreign languages studying, to provide access to new, alternative sources of information, to developindependent mental activity, to form communication skills, intercultural and professional competence.
