Abstract:	UK: Розглядається проблема занепаду масового читання та долі бібліотечної системи, що сформувалася в період домінування текстової інформації, модернізації та науково-технологічного прориву. Парадигма функціонування бібліотеки не є адекватною сучасній ситуації. EN: The problem of the decline of mass reading and the fate of the library system, which was formed during the period of dominance of textual information, modernization and scientific and technological breakthrough, is considered. The paradigm of library operation is not adequate to the current situation.
